The Black Maternal Health Legacy Scholarship is a merit-based college scholarship for students pursuing careers in public health, nursing, mental health, or social work—fields that are critical in addressing Black maternal health disparities. This scholarship seeks to empower the next generation of healthcare professionals dedicated to improving maternal outcomes and eliminating racial inequities in healthcare.

Award Amount:

• Scholarships range from $2,500 to $5,000 per recipient, based on academic achievement, financial need, and commitment to Black maternal health.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student enrolled in or accepted into an accredited program.

• Must be pursuing a degree in public health, nursing, mental health, social work, or a related field.

• Must demonstrate a commitment to Black maternal health advocacy, research, or community service.

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 required.

• Applicants must submit an essay on their passion for improving Black maternal health, their career aspirations, and how they plan to make an impact.

The Black Maternal Health Legacy Scholarship not only provides financial support but also invests in future healthcare leaders who will drive systemic change and improve the lives of Black mothers and families.
