Pathway to Maternal Health Careers
The Pathway to Maternal Health Careers Program is a mentorship and career development initiative designed for high school and college students interested in careers in OBGYN, Midwifery, Public Health, and Mental Health.
This program offers hands-on experience, professional mentorship, and career readiness resources to cultivate a new generation of healthcare professionals dedicated to maternal health equity.
Program Features:
Mentorship Matching: Students are paired with professionals in maternal health fields, including OBGYNs, midwives, public health leaders, and mental health practitioners.
Internships & Shadowing Opportunities: Participants gain real-world experience by shadowing maternal health experts and engaging in clinical, research, and community health settings.
Skill-Building Workshops: Training in medical ethics, health disparities, advocacy, and leadership development.
College & Career Guidance: Support with college applications, scholarships, and career planning.
Annual Maternal Health Summit: Students attend an exclusive conference featuring industry leaders, networking opportunities, and educational sessions on maternal health innovation.
Eligibility Criteria:
High school juniors and seniors, as well as college students, interested in maternal health-related careers.
Must demonstrate a strong academic record and commitment to addressing maternal health disparities.
